FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
What does the acronym MCS Laboratory stand for?
MCS stands for Multiple Chemical Sensitivity. This condition is at the heart of our holistic approach to healthy skin. We develop solutions for skin that is sensitive to many factors and substances.
The “Laboratory” component means that we take a broader view of the subject: appropriate, natural, and targeted skincare products are very important, but equally important are a well-balanced diet, physical activity, managing daily stress, and monitoring the environmental conditions in which we live.
Are these cosmetics right for me? Where should I start?
If you have sensitive, dry, or stinging skin, or skin that reacts with redness to regular cosmetics—then yes.
Don’t buy too many products to start with. Choose only our basic skincare line: a gentle cleansing foam and a cream tailored to your main skin concern. Observe your skin for a few days, and only then decide whether to expand your routine to include the full set of products for your skin concern—provided there’s no irritation and you feel comfortable using them.
Does it really work, or is it just a sales gimmick?
We don’t promise overnight miracles, because treating skin problems is a process. Our formulas are designed to physically support the restoration of the skin’s damaged lipid barrier.
Does it work? Yes, but on one condition: you have to use it regularly. The skin needs time to regenerate, and our customers keep coming back to these products precisely because they provide real, long-term relief and prolong the remission of skin conditions.
How long will it take to see results?
• After 1–2 weeks: You should start to feel some relief. Your skin will no longer feel as tight, burning, or itchy.
• After 3–4 weeks: You should see an improvement in hydration, and irritation and redness should subside. It’s important to maintain a healthy diet and limit factors that may exacerbate symptoms. We discuss this on our website under the “Knowledge Base” tab.
• After 6–8 weeks: There should be significant support for the restoration of the protective barrier, which offers a real chance of prolonging the period of remission of skin symptoms.
Don’t stop the treatment after just a few days if you don’t see immediate “magic.” Patience and consistency are key.
Are these products suitable for extremely sensitive skin?
Yes, our brand and the skincare products we create were developed specifically for skin like yours. If your skin reacts to most standard skincare products with redness or other discomfort, you’ve come to the right place.
For each cosmetic product, we’ve provided a detailed description of what it’s used for, and if you still have questions, please contact us—we’ll help you choose the right product.
Do I have to buy the whole series right away?
There’s no need for that; you can start with just one cream. A complete skincare set for sensitive skin simply gives better results.
The night formula complements the effects of the day cream, while the cleansing foam and nourishing toner prepare the skin to fully benefit from the creams. All products contain bioactive ingredients and form a complete cycle of targeted skincare. Start by trying 1–2 products and make an informed decision about purchasing the full treatment as a set.
Can I use MCS Laboratory cosmetics with products from other brands?
Of course, but we have one recommendation: check the ingredients of the products you use.
If you combine our product with just any face wash that has an unsuitable formula (e.g., one containing harsh SLS detergents), your skin will remain irritated and the treatment won’t work as it should. Choose the skincare products you use carefully so as not to undermine the effects of your targeted skincare routine.
What should I do if the product irritates my skin?
One characteristic of sensitive skin is that it can sometimes have an allergic reaction even to a completely safe, natural ingredient. If irritation occurs, stop using the product.
All of our cosmetics have been tested under the supervision of a dermatologist on a selected group of test subjects with sensitive skin, and no adverse reactions were reported. If you experience irritation, stop using the product and report the issue to us—we will analyze the ingredients and determine which one may have caused the reaction in your case.
