Eczema appears. What do you do? Instinct tells you: “Dry it out!” You reach for aggressive cleansing gels, toners with alcohol, mattifying creams and spot ointments. For a while it seems that the problem disappears, and the skin is pleasantly “dull” and skimmed. Unfortunately, a few days later the rash returns with redoubled force, and your face becomes not only acne-prone, but also red, burning and flaky. Sound familiar? It’s time to debunk the biggest acne care myth.
Skin is not the enemy, it’s an intelligent system
To understand why mattifying and drying doesn’t work, you need to understand how your skin thinks. The layer of sebum (sebum) on your face is not nature’s mischief – it’s a natural protective shield that prevents water loss and protects you from outside bacteria. When you wash off this layer with aggressive detergents (e.g. SLS) or alcohol, the sebaceous glands panic. They get the signal: “Attention, we are vulnerable, the barrier is destroyed!”. What is their reaction? They start producing even more sebum to compensate for the loss. You wash them off again, they produce even more. You fall into a vicious cycle that results in extremely oily, yet dehydrated skin on the inside.
Killing the microbiome
Aggressive cosmetics have another disadvantage – they act like a broad-spectrum antibiotic. They kill acne-causing bacteria(C. acnes), but in the process destroy all the beneficial bacterial flora (microbiome), which is your skin’s first line of defense. Without good bacteria, pathogens have an open path to multiply and create new inflammation.Moisturization – your new weapon
It may sound counter-intuitive, but acne-prone skin even begs for hydration. When you provide it with the right dose of hydration, the sebaceous glands will finally calm down and stop overproducing sebum. That’s why we at MCS Laboratory have created an anti-acne line that breaks with the old schemes. You won’t find alcohol or aggressive mattifying agents in it. Instead, we focused on intelligent regulation:
- Aloe leaf juice: Deeply and oil-free moisturizes, soothing irritation and signaling the sebaceous glands to “slow down.”
- Extracts of Marsh Elm and Witch Hazel: Naturally and gently regulate sebum secretion without compromising the hydrolipid barrier.
- Tea Tree Extract: Works to spot inflammation while maintaining respect for your natural microbiome.
Summary: Stop fighting your skin – start cooperating with it. Replace aggressive drying with smart, regulating care based on hydration.
